"The Three Springs Tennis Club has been a formidable proposition since Mr. C. L. Evans ("Jumbo") arrived in April, 1928, to assume the management of the first country branch of the E.S. and A. Bank to be established in Western Australia. Mr. Evans, of course, is a star of the first magnitude in the tennis firmament. Edmondson, while his other victories are legion. Mr. Evans was the honorary secretary of the King's Park Club from 1924-27, previously being assistant secretary for three years.
