"Mr. and Mrs. Con Sheahan, after 25 years association with the district,
will be leaving Carnamah shortly. Their future plans are somewhat indefinite,
but they may purchase a business if a suitable opportunity occurs. Mr. and Mrs.
Sheahan came from Victoria about 1907 and after taking up land at Brookton and
Geraldton, settled in the Arrino district remaining there on the farm for 18
years. Having sold this property (which is now occupied by the Mutter family),
Mr. and Mrs. Sheahan lived in Perth for a couple of years before taking up
property at Inering. This they sold a year later and five years ago bought their
present property. This has been leased to Mr. C. Baker, of Winchester, who took
up residence on the farm early last week. About eight years ago Mr. Sheahan
bought the freehold of the Three Springs Hotel, which was on lease to Mr.
MacDonald. On being ordered by the licensing court to rebuild, and being unable
to obtain the lease, Mr. Sheahan disposed of it to Mr. Barnhart, who erected the
present building, adopting, with some modification, plans prepared by Mr.
Sheahan. Mr. Sheahan at present owns property in Carnamah, Three Springs and
Arrino."

In October 1936 the prospect was raised to transfer his
