Obituary - Passing of a Three Springs Resident - The Late Mr I. Wallace
"At his home at Three Springs on Sunday morning last there passed away an old and respected resident of the district in the person of Mr Isaac Wallace, the deceased gentleman having reached the age of 72 years. For some time past the late Mr Wallace had been in failing health and his death was therefore not altogether unexpected. As a young man the deceased gentleman arrived in this State from Mt Gambier (S.A.) in 1906 and proceeded to Menzies. He was a prominent member of the Three Springs Branch of the Wheatgrowers' Union, and for some time officiated as secretary of that organisation. He was also keenly interested in sport, more particularly cricket and football, and as a tribute to his memory members of the Three Springs Football club cancelled a match in which they were scheduled to play last Sunday. The late Mr Wallace is survived by a widow and one son and two daughters. The funeral took place in the Anglican portion of the Three Springs Cemetery on Monday last, the first portion of the burial service being conducted in St James' Church. The officiating minister at both the church and the graveside was the Rev C. A. Walsh, the organ accompanist for the hymns rendered at the church being Mr A. J. Ferguson. The chief mourners were Messrs N.  Wallace (son) and R. James (son-in-law), and the pall bearers were Messrs N. McKenzie, A. R. Strutton, C. M. Maley and K. S. Glyde.
