Married Johanna Jane WEBB on 13 October 1908 at All Saints Church in Knightsbridge, London, England [403]
In 1911 they were living at the seven-room 3 Molyneaux Villas on Melrose Road in Weybridge, Surrey, England [20]
They departed from Liverpool, England on the steamship Suevic on 16 November 1911 bound for Albany, Western Australia [203]

From The North Midland Times newspaper, Thursday 8 May 1952:
Man Found Dead
"Eric Charles Waller Paton, 75 years, widower, farmer of Marchagee, was found dead at his home at East Marchagee, about 2 p.m., on April 29th, by his neighbour Mr O. P. Randell, who immediately informed Constable Varney, of Carnamah, who made the necessary enquiries. Late Mr Paton had a gun shot wound in the head. It is understood that several letters addressed to various people were found near the body. No suspicious circumstances were suspected."


From The North Midland Times newspaper, Thursday 19 June 1952:
Carnamah Inquests
"Mr T. Ansell, R.M., in the Carnamah Court last week, found that Eric Charles Waller Paton, of Marchagee, died at East Marchagee on the 29th April from a bullet wound in the head, self-inflicted, while in a depressed state of mind due to illness."
