The Biographical Dictionary of Coorow, Carnamah and Three Springs chronicles
the lives of people with a connection to the towns and places of Arrino,
Billeroo, Carnamah, Coorow, Dudawa, Eganu, Eneabba, Five Gums, Gunyidi,
Inering, Kadathinni, Marchagee, Prowaka, Three Springs, Waddy Forest and
Winchester. The dictionary also includes entries for some people from the
neighbouring and nearby places of Bunjil, Caron, Latham, Mingenew, Perenjori
and Yandanooka.
Dr Joanna Sassoon, in her assessment of the Carnamah Historical Society's
collections, assessed the dictionary as being of state significance for its
"dense, rich and extraordinary value in capturing an intimate and diverse
set of information about people in the Mid West region."
You are invited to contribute information, recollections and photographs
using the form underneath each entry, to

George Main, a senior curator and historian at the National Museum of
Australia, commented that "by
developing such a rich and accessible repository of information, and by
allowing the general public to contribute content, Carnamah Historical
Society is leading the way in the development of online research archives."
