Departed from London on the steamship Esperance Bay on 1 August 1922 bound for Sydney, New South Wales, Australia [203]
He travelled with his brother Aubrey with them both listed as Farm Workers intending to permanently settle in Australia [203]
He and his brother Aubrey purchased 1,221 acres of virgin land in Waddy Forest, Western Australia on 27 March 1923 [27]
The 1,221 acres was Lot M1275 of Victoria Location 2023 and was purchased from the Midland Railway Company [27]
The cost of their Lot M1275 was £1038/-/2 (17/- per acre), which they paid for by instalments over 17 years [27]

On 31 May 1926 he and his brother Aubrey acquired another 960 acres in Waddy Forest from John C. R. CHAPMAN [27]
The 960 acres was Lot M1273 of Victoria Location 2023 and still had instalments owing to the Midland Railway Company [27]
During December 1926 he and his brother purchased a Buick Standard Six touring car [81: 26-Dec-1926]
It was reported that the body of their car was "duco finished in two colours of grey, giving it a very handsome appearance [81]
They licensed the car with the Carnamah District Road Board and it was allocated number plate CA-193 [325]
He and his brother purchased a McCormick-Deering tractor from Carnamah agent Charles ROBERTSON in mid 1927 [4: 23-Jul-1927]
They purchased another McCormick-Deering tractor through ROBERTSON just over a year later in October 1928 [4: 20-Oct-1928]
The next month, in November 1928, they purchased a new cab Chev truck from Carnamah dealer L. Scott WYLIE [4: 1-Dec-1928]
Their Chev truck was licensed with the Carnamah District Road Board and contained number plate CA-264 [325]
Their 800 acres of crop in 1927 yielded 2,500 bags with parts averaging only a bag after being badly affected by rust [9: 27-Jan-1928]
