Anglican Rector of the North Midlands Parish from 1946 to 1949 [P89]
During his time as Rector of the North Midlands Parish resided at the rectory in Three Springs [P89]
Conducted services at Arrino, Three Springs, Inering, Carnamah, Winchester, Billeroo, Waddy Forest, Coorow and Marchagee [P89]
Regular services were held at Saint George's Hall in Carnamah, at the school in Winchester and at the hall in Billeroo [P89]
Once a month services were held at Inering at the home of Conrad A. E. BUSSENSCHUTT [P89]
Also visited the many schools of his parish during the week [P89]

On arrival in WA was appointed Rector of the Meckering Parish however with deteriorating health only survived one month [P89]

Died 9 March 1957 in Meckering, Western Australia; ashes scattered on the Rose Garden at the Karrakatta Cemetery, Perth WA [P89]
Memorialised at the Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park in the Perth suburb of Padbury [P89]
From The Irwin Index newspaper, Friday 15 March 1957:
"Clergyman's Death - The death occurred at Meckering on Saturday last of the Rev. Gilbert Stanley Foss, who some years ago was in residence at Three Springs as Rector of the North Midlands Parish. The funeral of the deceased gentleman, who is survived by a widow, one son and one daughter, took place in the Karrakatta Crematorium on Tuesday last."
