Carnamah Notes [From Our Correspondent.] - February 9.
"Our popular stationmaster is a very proud man these days. Mrs Mortimer has presented him with a fine daughter on Saturday last. Bert is coming in from much barracking from his numerous friends and it is expected he will have to wear larger hats. Donad Mac will have a job of telling baby funny stories while dad is busy. Mrs W. Cleaver, Bert's sister, is spending a few days at Carnamah, so mother and baby are in good hands... It has been suggested that a popular baby competition would be a good draw. Dad Mortimer has easily the best baby in the world."
