On 23 April 1936 he was hanging around the Winchester General Store and Post Office at Winchester Siding [88]
Mrs MULLIGAN of the Winchester Store was scared of him and considered he was up to no good so telephoned the police [88]
Const. Maurice PLUNKETT of the Carnamah Police Station interviewed him however ascertained he had done nothing wrong [88]
He had been hanging around the store knowing farmers called there as he was hoping to obtain a job with one [88]
A short time later he was successful in securing work with a farmer in Winchester [88]
