From The North Midland Times newspaper, Friday 21 October 1938:
"The death occurred in the Northam Hospital on Monday morning of Mrs. S. Ferguson, of Toodyay. The deceased lady leaves a husband and four sons, including George and Lionel (Carnamah) and three daughters including Mrs. C. Martyn also of Carnamah. On Monday evening Messrs. George, Lionel and Geoff Ferguson and C. Martyn and Mesdames L. Ferguson, G. Ferguson and C. Martyn made the trip to Toodyay to attend the funeral."
