"Mr S. R. East, Manager of the Carnamah Branch of the Rural and Industries Bank, who received notice of his transfer to Merredin, will be leaving here on Friday, July 31st. His successor will be Mr G. Curtis, from the Merredin Branch, who is expected to arrive in Carnamah on July 28th. We offer a warm welcome to Mr. Curtis and trust his stay here will be an enjoyable one. Mr. East had been in Carnamah for two years and was a good working member of most local organisations."
