In February 1944 shifted with her parents from Coorow to Mingenew [215]
They had returned to Coorow by August 1945 when she was readmitted as a student of the Coorow State School [215]
Won 1st prize for a Pencil Drawing for Standards V-VI at the Victory Show held in Carnamah on 13 September 1945 [5: 21-Sep-1945]
At the Carnamah Agricultural Show in 1946 she won both 1st and 2nd prizes for Pencil Drawing for Standards V & VI  [5: 20-Sep-1946]

     She and Loris DOWNES came 3rd in the Three Legged Race for Girls 13 Years & Over [5: 4-Oct-1946]

Won the Monte Carlo novelty competition at the 21st birthday party of Lloyd BOTHE at the Coorow Hall on 10 May 1947 [5: 23-May-1947]
Received 2nd prize for Hand Painted Article in the Arts & Crafts section of the 1947 Coorow-Waddy Agricultural Show [5: 12-Sep-1947]
