     He farmed a 100 acre Conditional Purchase block in Arrino and a lease of 160 acres [44]
     His brother Campbell William BEAN later farmed on the Inering Estate in nearby Carnamah 1923-1925 [7: page 66] [19]
Married Bessie Charlotte CUMMING in Boulder in 1914 [15]
Worked as a Labourer prior to enlisting in the Australian Imperial Force in Perth on 10 September 1914 [30: item 3061060]
     He was described as being 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighed 145 pounds with blue eyes, brown hair and a dark complexion [30]
     When he enlisted he stated that he was born in at Newquay in Cornwall, England - however, no such birth can be found [30]
     It's presumed he may have falsely said he was born in England, rather than India, to come across as more British [30]
     Gave his wife as his next of kin, with her address initially being in Perth and later at Saint Kilda in Melbourne [30]
     At Blackboy Hill on 22 September 1914 he was appointed Driver 852 in the 3rd Light Horse Field Ambulance [30]
     He was due to embark Melbourne on Transport A51 Chilka on 2 February 1915 but wasn't at the boat for embarkation [30]
Died 1952 in Hawkesdale, Victoria, Australia [54]
