After the war sold his Burracoppin farm and worked on the Rabbit Proof Fence and at Agricultural Research Station in Salmon Gums [P54]
Farmer of Upsan Downs Farm on the Waddi Estate in Carnamah from 1950 [P54]
     In 1950 was allocated farmland through the War Service Land Settlement Scheme on the Waddi Estate in Carnamah [8: page 22] [P54]
     The Waddi Estate was Gustav LIEBE's former 54,000 acre farm across parts of Waddy Forest, Coorow, Latham, Perenjori, Bunjil [P1]
     He was said to have named the property Upsan Downs as he anticipated they'd be having ups and downs on the farm [P54]
     His farm was the 4,647 acre Victoria Location 9973 on the south side of the Carnamah-Bunjil Road [3] [62]
