Obituary - The Late Mrs. Florence Price.
"The death occurred on Monday morning, August 31, when Mrs. Florence Price, of Carnamah, passed away suddenly.  The deceased, who had suffered ill-health for a number of years was subject to heart attacks. Following an attack on Monday, she was conveyed to the Carnamah Hospital, but had passed away before arrival. The late Mrs. Price, formerly Miss Grimrod, of Rochdale, Lancashire, England, who had had a brilliant stage career, having toured the world three times, during which she played a season of three years, as leading lady, in South America, was married in Perth to Mr. W. Price in 1923, when they went to Dowerin where they resided for 11 years. Eighteen months ago Mr. and Mrs. Price came to reside in Carnamah. The late Mrs. Price was possessed of a happy, congenial nature and during her short residence in Carnamah she had made a large circle of friends. The deceased, who was 48 years of age, leaves a husband to mourn his sad loss. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, the cortege proceeding from the Catholic Church to the Winchester Cemetery where the Rev. Father Lynch performed the last rights. The pall-bearers were Messrs. J. K. Forrester, C. Martyn, T. F. Paterson, C. Ryan, G. A. Bradshaw and E. C. Andrews. Amongst those present were Messrs. J. Chave, M. Clune, W. Davison, A. C. Bierman, C. Robertson, R. A. Pike, C. A. Mettam, S. Ford, M. Leslie, E. Hellewell, H. Parkin and A. Cowderoy. Floral tributes were received from Mr and Mrs E. C. Andrews and family, Mr and Mrs C. A. Mettam and family, Mr and Mrs M. Plunkett, Mr and Mrs T. F. Paterson, Mr and Mrs C. Martyn, Mr and Mrs G. A. Bradshaw and family, Mr and Mrs A. J. Mortimer, Mrs L. P. Parker, Mrs C. Townsend and Mrs L. Ferguson, Miss L. Louston and Mr A. Cowderoy, Mr and Mrs M. Leslie, Bethel and Trevor, and the Carnamah Golf Club."
