Member of the Carnamah Boy Cubs in 1932 [5: 8-Jul-1932]
Won the "Popular Scout Competition" conducted in January 1932 to raise funds for the Carnamah troop of Boy Scouts [120: 21-Jan-1932]
Attended the first ever District Rally of Scouts and Cubs held at Centenary Park in Carnamah on Saturday 2 July 1932 [5: 8-Jul-1932]
Won 1st prize for Writing and 2nd for a Crayon Drawing at the Carnamah Agricultural Show on 14 September 1933 [5: 22-Sep-1933]
Student at the North Fremantle State School in the Perth suburb of Fremantle in 1935 and 1936 [5: 31-Jan-1936]
