On 3 March 1921 purchased from the Midland Railway Company 970 acres of virgin land north-east of Carnamah town [27]
The 970 acres was Lot M1081 of Victoria Location 1935 and came at a cost of £800, payable by instalments [27]
In January 1921 their father Alfred had purchased the adjoining block (Lot M1080 of Victoria Location 1935) [27]
Had an account with Carnamah blacksmith, wheelwright and mechanics Henry Parkin & Son in the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s [53]
One of them, or their father, helped with the Carnamah Boy Scouts camp held in Carnamah in early September 1932 [5: 9-Sep-1932]
In about 1934 they purchased LIGHTFOOT & Son's 773 acre farm in Carnamah (Lot M1079 of Victoria Location 1937) [3]

Between July and November 1935 sold 70 wethers, 91 lambs and 455 suckers through seven consignments at the Midland Market [5]

Sold two baconers for 56/6 per head through Westralian Farmers Ltd at the Midland Market on 5 February 1936 [5: 7-Feb-1936]
Purchased a new Dodge six sedan car in March 1936 [5: 20-Mar-1936]
Sold 41 lambs at 11/- per head through Dalgety & Co Ltd at the Midland Market on Wednesday 29 July 1936 [5: 31-Jul-1936]
Sold 86 sheep through Elder Smith & Co Ltd at the Midland Market on Wednesday 23 September 1936 [5: 25-Sep-1936]
The sheep consisted of 16 suckers at 16/7, 39 suckers at 12/1, 15 wethers at 20/1, 3 ewes at 15/10, 13 hoggets at 13/1 per head [5]
Attended the Inaugural Sale of the North Midlands Stud Stockbreeders Association in Carnamah on 18 September 1936 [5: 2-Oct-1936]
Purchased two Merino rams at 8 guineas each from the Wongyarra Stud operated by William A. T. SARGENT of Carnamah [5]
Sold 15 sheep at 13/1 per head through Elder Smith & Co Ltd at the Midland Market on Wednesday 18 November 1936 [5: 20-Nov-1936]

In 1938 purchased from NIVEN Bros 1192 acres near the Inering Estate (Lots M995 and M996 of Victoria Location 2022) [3]
Around 1942 had a "spacious and beautiful new home" built on their farm north east of Carnamah town [4]
Following Dick's death in 1949 Stan continued farming their properties in Carnamah [3]
