In 1891 was living with her husband and elder two sons with her parents-in-law on Main Street in Old Luce, Wigtown, Scotland [20]
Later resided with her husband and children at Changue Cottage on Changue Farm in Mochrum, Wigtown, Scotland [20]
They decided to leave Scotland on the invitation of her husband's brother-in-law to manage a farm in Coorow, Western Australia [P147]
Departed London, England with husband and children on the Otway and arrived in Fremantle, Western Australia on 26 July 1910 [70]
Resided with her husband and children at Coorow House in Coorow, Western Australia 1911-1916 [6] [19] [P147]
Coorow House was constructed of mud brick plastered white, jarrah timber and a galvanised iron roof [P147]
During their time at Coorow House there was an almond tree out the front [P147]
Local dances, Church services and the Coorow State School were conducted from their home in Coorow [P147]
Her nephew George BELL was Killed in Action on 25 April 1915, shortly after the landing on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey [30]
By July 1916 had left Coorow and was living at 2 Cavendish Street in the Perth suburb of Victoria Park [30: item 3008521]
Her second eldest son Thomas MCGILL died from wounds received in action in France on 20 August 1917 [30: item 1944147]
As a result of her son's death she was granted on 30 October 1917 a fortnightly pension of 40/- from the Australian Imperial Force [30]
Resided at 2 Cavendish Street in the Perth suburb of Victoria Park until 1917 and then in the suburb of Queens Park 1918-1920 [6]
Planted adjacent trees at King Park in Perth in memory of her son Thomas MCGILL and her nephew George BELL [P350]
She and her husband resided on their son James' Toro Brook Farm in Calingiri 1920-1933 [P147]
Following her husband's death in 1933 resided with her daughter Mary and son-in-law John G. THOMPSON in Yerecoin [P147]
Holidayed in Coorow with her daughter Mrs Margaret BOTHE and son-in-law Charles C. BOTHE in April 1937 [5: 30-Apr-1937]
