Coorow House was constructed of mud brick plastered white, jarrah timber and a galvanised iron roof [P147]

Her nephew George BELL was Killed in Action on 25 April 1915, shortly after the landing on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey [30]
By July 1916 had left Coorow and was living at 2 Cavendish Street in the Perth suburb of Victoria Park [30: item 3008521]
Her second eldest son Thomas MCGILL died from wounds received in action in France on 20 August 1917 [30: item 1944147]
As a result of her son's death she was granted on 30 October 1917 a fortnightly pension of 40/- from the Australian Imperial Force [30]
Resided at 2 Cavendish Street in the Perth suburb of Victoria Park until 1917 and then in the suburb of Queens Park 1918-1920 [6]
