During a family holiday her son Arthur disappeared beneath the waves near Lancelin on 27 December 1948 [P447]
     Arthur's body was never found but it was thought he'd been taken by a shark [P447]
     A young human hand was found inside a shark caught off Leighton Beach nine days later [P447]
Passed away at the age of 67 years at the Moora District Hospital in Moora [116]
