After being bitten he drove 2½ miles home to receive first aid but made no progress so was taken to the hospital in Moora [9: 17-Mar-1916]
Within a week he had returned home to Carnamah and was reported to have been "getting on well" [9: 17-Mar-1916]
The Midland Railway Company paid him £2/5/- for labour during harvesting on Lot M944 in Carnamah in early 1916 [34]
His wife gave birth to their daughter Violet Elsie in Carnamah in 1916 [15]
In March 1917 he was working for Carnamah farmer and contractor John BOWMAN [92]
Cashed a cheque for £5 wages from John BOWMAN at "The Supply Stores" in Yarra Street, Carnamah in March 1917 [92]
