Married (1) shearer "Harry" or "Curley" Henry John SALTER in West Perth in 1915 [15] [560: 9-Apr-1920]
Their daughter Mary Pearl, known as Pearl, had been born in Fremantle the previous year, in 1914 [15]
Resided with her husband and daughter at 72 Dyer Street in West Perth [30: item 8077031]
Her husband enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force on 18 January 1916 and left for active service abroad later that year [30]
In her husband's absence she resided at 72 Dyer Street, 16 Colin Place and then at 71 Dyer Street, all in West Perth [30]
Due to a medical problem, her husband returned to Australia in 1917 and was discharged from the Australian Imperial Force [30]
Her husband passed away at the age of 26 years in 1920, presumed to have drowned in the Fitzroy River [15] [560: 9-Apr-1920]
At some stage she worked as a Cook in the coastal Perth suburb of Cottesloe [50]
Along with her daughter she later resided in Canada, where she worked as a Waitress [204]
They departed Montreal, Canada on the steamship Metagama and arrived in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland on 26 June 1925 [204]
She was employed as a Textile Worker in Scotland and lived at 44 Stock Road in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland [203]
After just over a year in Scotland they departed from London, England on the steamship Orsova on 21 August 1926 [203]
She and her daughter arrived on the Orsova in Fremantle, Western Australia on 21 September 1926 [338]
Housekeeper on or near the Inering Estate in Carnamah in 1939 [19]
She worked as a housekeeper in Carnamah for "Bert" Herbert H. BRIDGETT [P520], who farmed in Carnamah until 1941 [5: 7-Feb-1941]
Her introduction to Carnamah possibly came via her brother-in-law George F. SALTER, who farmed on the Inering Estate [7: page 66]
At a wedding a pastor suggested to Bert that as they'd been living together for some time, they should get married [P520]
Married (2) "Bert" Herbert Harold BRIDGETT in the Perth suburb of Subiaco on 1 January 1942 [15] [30: item 6506227]
They resided on Boulder Avenue in the Perth suburb of Belmont Park, now known as just Belmont [30: item 6506227]
After her husband enlisted in the Australian Army she continued to reside in Belmont and then at 59 Wellington Street in East Perth [30]
Following the end of the Second World War they lived at 5 Durham Street, Rivervale and later at 26 Selway Road, Brentwood [50]
Died 20 June 1984; ashes interred at Karrakatta Cemetery in Perth (Crematorium Rose Gardens, Garden 17, 261) [2] [15]
